2.A Popup Box Will Be Shown In Which If your IMEI will be present the number will be shown and if not present it will show as “Invalid IMEI”.

Now the requirements to solve this problem:

1.      Download the android app “Engineer Mode MTK Shortcut”. This app will provide you the engineering mode to set the IMEI number of MTK android handsets

2.      And IMEI numbers of your Android Mobile phone. (You can see your H/S IMEI numbers at back side on the phone battery or remove the battery to find the IMEI numbers).

Now steps to fix Invalid IMEI problem.

1.      Now open the Engineer Mode MTK Shortcut app.

2.      Select Connectivity section > Click the CDS information option.

3.      Click Radio Information option. Now you can see there are two options Phone 1 and Phone 2 if you are using dual SIM smart phone. If you are using single SIM phone then it will show you Phone 1 only.

4.      Now click the Phone 1 option to set the IMEI for SIM slot 1. And type the code with IMEI 1:- AT +EGMR=1,7,”xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx”

Note: there should be one space between AT and +. And Type IMEI number for SIM slot 1 at place of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

5.      Now click to SEND AT COMMAND and Re-start the phone.

6.      Now follow step 1 and 2, click the Phone 2 option to set the IMEI for SIM slot 2. And type the code with IMEI 2:- AT +EGMR=1,10,”xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx”

Note: there should be one space between AT and +. And Type IMEI number for SIM slot 2 at place of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

7.      Now click to SEND AT COMMAND and Re-start the phone.

Now your SIM slots will work perfectly fine.
